The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) hosts the largest gathering of infection prevention professionals in the world. This conference hosts an impressive lineup of industry professionals and accredited experts in the field. With over 100 sessions delving into innovative solutions for infection prevention and control.
This year, our very own Luci Perri will be speaking at a special session titled: Breaches in Dental Infection Prevention-Could This Be Your Practice?
The dental community presents unique challenges for the world of infection control and prevention. As many documented outbreaks of bloodborne diseases such as hepatitis have occurred within the field, this session will highlight key dental infection prevention programs and methodologies. Furthermore, speakers will examine prevention breaches within the dentistry setting and the various practices and steps that can be taken to refine dental infection prevention.
Topics will focus on sterilization methods, injection practices, proper protective equipment, and more.
Our founder and owner, Luci, has spent the better part of her life working with infection control and prevention in a wide variety of settings. From acute and long term care to dental and ambulatory healthcare in both civilian and military settings — Luci has dedicated her life to the betterment of others. As a member of APIC, ANA, Sigma, AORN, and the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP), she continues to educate others and improve the field of Epidemiology.
Along with Luci, two other speakers will be sharing information and findings pertaining to onsite observations at various dental practices and oral surgery centers.
